The system, for us, is primarily used for laser hair removal and skin tightening, as well as treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions and photo rejuvenation. It's suitable for all skin types.
What's more, is that our laser system is quite comfortable. Many medical spas and skin care centers provide numbing or ice to help make laser hair removal more comfortable. This is not necessary with the GentleMax. With each pulse of the laser, a cool shot of air comes from the tip - making the sensation quite comfortable. There is no need for numbing or ice with this system.
Who it's for: anyone who is tired of shaving or perhaps those with ingrown hairs or unsightly bumps from waxing. The heat from the top of the laser zaps bacteria trapped inside the skin reducing the occurance of ingrown hairs and bumps.
How many treatments and when? It varies by patient, but for the most part, you can expect at least 4-6 treatments spread out over 4-6 week increments. It's important to treat the follicle at each stage of hair growth. Once the growth is reduced - you will only need touch ups from time to time.
